The Allure of Blackjack

While the question of why to play blackjack is a simple one, the answer is far more complex and varies greatly depending on whom you ask. There are many attractive qualities about blackjack from its relatively easy learning curve to its great application of both skill and luck. For me, though, perhaps the best thing about blackjack is the fact that the games are fast paced and filled with action. Card games are great but sitting around and doing nothing most certainly is not great. With games like poker, a lot of the time you are sitting without cards because you are folding and throwing away your hand waiting for that one hand every so often that you actually get to play and that is boring.

With blackjack, you are going to be playing almost every hand. While players have the option to surrender, the option is not often used and does not need to be used most of the time so you are always in the action. Another great thing about blackjack is the fact that there are not too many different things that you have to do. Because the rules are simple and there are not too many choices, anyone can play blackjack and play blackjack relatively well. With that said, there is enough skill involved that the best players can play perfectly and do really well. Additionally, in blackjack, you are not playing against the other people at the table so the only person you have to worry about is the dealer.
